Why is my dog's head shaking like she has Parkinsons? My chihuahua is about a year and a half old. I noticed today her head is shaking like someone with Parkinsons. It is strange. She is also low on energy. She went to lay down and take a nap and usually she's running around full of energy. She also seems kind of uncoordinated when she's jumping and walking. Is there something wrong with her?? Do dogs get Parkinsons or Neurological disorders?
What are 3 common factors in people without parkinsons disease? Parkinson's disease is the 2nd most common neurodegenerative disorder, affecting over 1 million americans. Scientists already know being over age 50, MPTP, and several genes make it more likely somebody will develop the disorder. They also found several factors that are more common in people without the disorder and that they maybe somehow be protected by them. What are these 3 factors and why do they seem to protect these individuals?

Is this normal for someone with Parkinsons? My father (76) was recently diagnosed with Parkinson's and it seems to be progressing fairly rapidly. In the past few weeks he has had two "episodes" where he turns very pale and becomes disoriented for a few minutes. Afterward he can't really describe what was happening to him. Does anyone know if this is typical of the disease, or could there be something else wrong? I would ask my parents what the doctor said, but unfortunately they are the "we don't want to worry anyone" sort, and I won't get a straight answer. Thanks in advance.

Were you saddened to hear about Bill Clinton being diagnosed with Parkinsons? Will Hillary being quitting her job as secretary of state to go and care for BillY? Do we now know the reason that Bill lookied liked such a doddering old fool on the campaign trail last year was because he was sick and not a stupid fool like the media people portrayed him to be? Will baby gurl Chelsea be using this as another excuse to leave her big job?
Is there a relationship between Parkinsons Disease and Restless Leg Syndrome? I was curious to know if there have been studies done tying Parkinsons Disease and RLS together? Is it possible for a person who has RLS to get Parkinson's later on in life? Thank you for whatever information you can give me. I don't have Parkinson's but I do have RLS, especially at night when I am trying to sleep. I also have sleep apnea and rapid eye movements. This was all diagnosed at the Sleep Lab years ago. Please, God, help people who have Parkinson's Disease.

Eating soy products lead to parkinsons or alzehimer's? I'm a vegetarian (it's part of my faith, and I was raised that way), and I need to eat a lot of soy. I've read some studies indicating that people who consume those products will get parkinson's and alzehimers. I also read another study indicating being a vegetarian leads to brain atrophy in the long run. Any medical experts or knowledgable people agree or disagree? Thanks.
Do you, or anybody close to you, have Parkinsons? My husband has now had Parkinsons for two years. Shaking of the hands and mouth. It doesn't seem to be progressing very fast, but I am noticing that his short term memory is going and that he is getting slightly confused. He is taking pills, but I wondered, besides giving him Gingko Biloba, is there anything else I can give him to either bring some memory back, or to slow down the confusion. He had his 80th Birthday last week, and is in otherwise good health.
can Parkinsons disease be hard to detect? Just recently the Doctor said that my father has Parkinson's disease. After about 15 visits to different Emergency Room visits around the Tri-State Area in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, and close to Cincinnatti, OH. How can this possibly slip by so many Doctors?
